How it works
From first estimate to finished project
Waybe takes you through your home-improvement project step by step — and our AI guide is there to answer questions and help with details along the way.
For homeowners
- 1
Choose your service
Pick what you need — roofing, gutters and more — from the services catalogue.
- 2
Tell us about your home
Enter your address and a few home details. Your roof size can be measured from your address using measurement providers, calculated from your home size, or taken from a measurement report you upload.
- 3
Get a transparent estimate
Waybe builds an itemized, AI-assisted estimate covering materials and labor, so you can see where every dollar goes.
- 4
Pick your materials
Choose the actual products for your project and see your estimate update as you make selections.
- 5
Choose a contractor and start date
Select a vetted contractor and pick from the dates they have available.
- 6
Sign and pay securely
Review and sign your estimate, then pay by card or bank transfer. If insurance is covering part of the job, you can add your claim details. Your payment is held in escrow.
- 7
Track the work and stay in touch
Follow your project's progress and message your project manager and contractor in the app. Funds are released once the work is delivered and accepted.
AI help at every step
Not sure which material to choose or what your insurance covers? Ask the Waybe assistant at any point in the process.
How your payments are protected
Paying for a large project up front shouldn't mean taking it on trust.
Held in escrow
When you pay, your funds are held in a separate escrow account rather than going straight to the contractor.
Released when work is accepted
Money is released according to your order once the work is delivered and you confirm it is accepted, so payment follows real results.
Changes are agreed, not assumed
If the scope or price needs to change, it is agreed between you and the contractor before payment amounts are adjusted.
The full escrow terms are in section 4 of our Terms and Conditions.
For installers
Contractors receive projects that homeowners have already scoped, priced and scheduled — with materials chosen and payment secured in escrow before work begins.
